Cube Storage & Modular Cube Organizers
Modular cubes turn a blank wall into storage that grows with you — stack them up in a small room, line them along a hallway, or close them off with bins and doors. The most flexible shelving you can buy.
How to choose cube storage
- Plan the grid to the wall: 2×2 fits a nook, 4×4 becomes a room divider or media wall.
- Mix open cubes with fabric drawer bins so half is display and half hides clutter.
- Anchor tall cube units to the wall — modular grids get top-heavy once loaded.
- Standard cube openings are ~13", so most fabric bins, records and binders drop straight in.
Frequently asked questions
How much weight does a cube shelf hold?
Most fabric-and-wood cube units hold 20–35 lb per cube. For books or vinyl, choose a heavier particleboard or metal frame and don't skip the anti-tip wall strap.
Cube storage or a regular bookshelf?
Cubes win when you want to mix shelving, drawers and bins in one wall and reconfigure later. A fixed bookshelf is cheaper if you only ever store books.
