Terms of service

The ground rules for shopping here, written to be actually readable. The spirit of all of them: we don't ship what we can't stand behind, and when something's wrong we refund rather than argue.

Agreeing to these terms

By browsing stowandsort.com or placing an order, you agree to these terms and to the policies they link to (shipping, returns & refunds, privacy). If we update the terms, the new version applies from the date posted here.

Orders & acceptance

Placing an order is an offer to buy. Your payment receipt confirms we've received the order; acceptance happens when we hand your parcel to the carrier. We may cancel an order before shipment — for example when an item is out of stock or a listing contains an obvious error — and in every such case you receive a prompt, full refund and an honest email explaining why.

Pricing & listing errors

We work hard to keep prices and product details accurate, but a marketplace of thousands of items occasionally contains a mistake. If an item's listed price or description is materially wrong, we reserve the right to cancel the affected order and refund it in full before shipment. We will never ship you something different from what you ordered and call it a substitution without asking.

Product information

Measurements, colors and materials are given as accurately as suppliers and photography allow. Small variations happen — screen colors differ, and a stated dimension may vary slightly between production batches. When an exact measurement is critical (a gap, an alcove, an under-bed clearance), measure your space first; that advice is all over this site because it's the difference between "fits" and "returns".

The buying guides, comparisons, photography arrangements and product write-ups on this site are Stow & Sort's own work. You're welcome to quote briefly with a link back; wholesale copying is not okay.

Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, our total liability for any order is limited to the amount you paid for that order. Nothing in these terms limits rights that consumer-protection law grants you and that cannot be limited by contract — those laws take precedence wherever they apply.

Disputes

If something goes wrong, email us first — nearly every problem is fixed within a business day by a replacement or refund. For anything we can't resolve together, both sides agree to attempt good-faith negotiation before any formal process.
